Literature Resource Center and LitFinder
Literature Resource Center includes biographies, bibliographies, and critical analyses of thousands of authors from every age and literary discipline (including poets, novelists, playwrights, songwriters, and screenwriters). Contains information from magazines and journals, plus sources such as the Encyclopedia of Literature, Contemporary Authors Online, Contemporary Literary Criticism Select, Dictionary of Literary Biography Online, Scribners Writers Series, Twayne's English Authors, US Authors, and World Authors.
LitFinder contains nearly a million citations for poems, speeches, plays, essays, and other works. In some cases, the full text of the work is available.
You can use Literature Resource Center to find biographical information about an author, then use LitFinder to locate the exact text of the author's writings.
If the full text is not available in LitFinder, it may be available in books that you can check out or copy at the library. Please search the library catalog or ask a librarian for help locating the text.
