Michelle Minero

Michelle Minero is a licensed Marriage Family Therapist who has helped people recover from trauma, eating disorders and body hatred. She graduated from the University of San Francisco with a B.A. in psychology in 1976 and a master in counseling in 1988. Michelle created the Quest Program, an intensive outpatient eating disorder program for Psych Strategies Inc. in 2000. She brought the ANAD (Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders) support group to Petaluma and co-founded EDRS, (Eating Disorders Recovery Support Inc.) in 2005. Michelle's book, Self-Love Diet The Only Diet That Works, is inspired from decades of work with her clients in recovery from eating disorders, trauma and body hatred. She revolutionizes the word diet by redefining it to mean, things regularly offered. Michelle asks the question; "How would your life be different if you regularly offered yourself love?" She offers 7 paths to self love: The Spiritual Path, The Body Path, the Mind and Emotions Path, The Relationship Path, The Cultural Path and World Path. Michelle is surprised by the following her book has received from women who do not have eating disorders. Women have thanked her for her straight forward steps to develop a loving relationship with themselves, their bodies, food and relationships. This book has a broader appeal than she first realized. She retired from her private practice in May 2017. She spends her time with friends and family which includes 4 grown children, 5 grandchildren and husband of almost 41 years. She is a SoulCollage facilitator, artist and created a Facebook page titled: Self-Love Diet: The Only Diet That Works. She is available for talks, presentations and workshops. Michelle is a proponent of global change through the power of love. Her dream is to see a world filled with people who love themselves and their bodies.
